Dry stone walls are
a common feature in many parts of the UK, especially in
the North of England, and are one of the oldest forms of
field and property boundaries. There is evidence of their
existence as far back as the Iron Age. As history progressed
their popularity increased and they are now also used as
garden boundaries, retaining walls, landscaping features,
shelters and even sculptures.
Leigh Dobson is a Professional Member of the
Dry Stone Walling Association and offers a variety of walling
and stone feature services throughout Northumbria and Cumbria.
He has broad geographical and conservational
knowledge of the North of England and the Borders and undertakes
both large and small dry stone walling projects in this
area. |
